Huawei P50 Pro embraced by fans, the Snapdragon version more so than the Kirin:
While it’s in a political predicament internationally, Huawei remains cool with the fans. Most of the voters in last week’s poll have an interest in training a Huawei P50 Pro and accordingly the breakdown of the exact preferences of fans is sort of interesting.
For starters, but 1 in 10 voters would await 5G versions of the phones. It’s a strange limitation that the new Huawei P50 is 4G only, but isn’t look like it trouble users all that much, anyway.
The next little bit of insight echoes the emotions of Galaxy S buyers – many prefer the flagship Snapdragon chipset over the company’s in-house chip (the Kirin 9000 during this case). So, while present both on the Huawei P50 may also be out automatically, many are going to be crazy if Huawei creates this more long-term arrangement. but, as good as a good number of citizens suggest the Kirin chip, which one is fabbed in TSMC’s 5 nm foundries (vs. Samsung 5 nm for the Snapdragon).
There was no discussion of Android vs. HarmonyOS, which is the very significant difference is Google Mobile Services vs. Huawei Mobile Services. In other words, it’s all about the apps. While HMS and therefore the AppGallery are growing at a powerful pace, they’re still missing certain key apps for a few users. Not many, by the looks of it (banking apps seem to be the most concern).
The camera setup on the P50 Pro checks all the proper boxes for fans. a couple of people mentioned the potential Pro+ version (in previous generations the Pro+ had a periscope with a longer focal length), but its absence wasn’t a serious issue.
We’ve been talking about the professional model thus far because there’s not much to mention about the vanilla Huawei P50. It exists, it’ll be available next month, some will even pip out, but it just doesn’t send geek hearts aflutter.
